1. Introduction

SocialChaat (“SocialChaat,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), is a digital marketing agency offering website and application development, social media marketing, marketing automation, influencer marketing, performance marketing, and branding and design services. We are committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who visits our website, contacts us, subscribes to our communications, or engages us as a client, vendor, or partner.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights available to you. It applies to socialchaat.com (the “Site”) and to the personal information we collect and process in the course of providing our marketing, advertising, and creative services.

By using the Site or otherwise providing us with personal information, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Site or provide us with your information.

2. Scope of This Policy

  • Automatically through cookies and similar technologies when you browse our Site.
  • From third parties, such as social media and advertising platforms, business partners, and publicly available sources.

Where we process personal information on behalf of a client (for example, running an advertising campaign or managing a client's social media account), that client acts as the data controller/fiduciary for that data, and their own privacy policy and instructions govern how it is used. This Policy describes our own practices as an agency and as a fiduciary for the data we collect in our own right (such as data about our Site visitors, subscribers, and prospective clients).

  • Advertising, analytics, and influencer-marketing platforms (such as Meta Ads, Google Ads, and similar tools) that we use to plan, deliver, and measure campaigns for ourselves and our clients.
  • Publicly available business sources, referrals, and business directories, used for business-development and prospecting purposes.

  • Comply with applicable law, accounting and tax requirements, contractual obligations, and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, security, or technical issues.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies (such as pixels and tags) to:

  • Enable core Site functionality (“essential” or “strictly necessary” cookies).
  • Understand how visitors use our Site, through analytics cookies (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Measure and improve the performance of advertising campaigns we run for ourselves and our clients, including through retargeting and conversion-tracking pixels from platforms such as Meta and Google (“advertising cookies”).

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; most browsers let you refuse, delete, or be notified before a cookie is set. Disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Site. Where required by law, we will seek your consent before setting non-essential cookies.

7. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:

  • Service providers and vendors who support our operations, such as web hosting, email delivery, customer-relationship-management, analytics, and IT service providers, under confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
  • Advertising, social media, and influencer-marketing platforms, to the extent necessary to plan, run, and measure campaigns.
  • Clients, where information relates to a campaign or project we are delivering on their behalf.
  • Professional advisers (legal, accounting, audit) where necessary for our business operations.
  • Government authorities or regulators, where required by law, legal process, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of others.
  • A successor entity, in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of business assets, subject to this Policy or a substantially similar one.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide our services, comply with legal, accounting, or reporting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Client and campaign data is generally retained in line with the terms of our engagement with the relevant client and is deleted or anonymized once it is no longer needed for those purposes, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These may include access controls, encryption in transit, and limiting access to personal information to personnel and service providers who need it to perform their roles. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
